The Attorney General has considered your request for an opinion wherein you submit three questions concerning Op. Atty. Gen. No. 80-111 and the topic of deputy sheriffs. Due to the fact that your inquiries are directed at two distinct types of deputy sheriffs, a basic understanding of their differences is necessary before we proceed to set out and respond to your questions.
