THIS was an action of ejectment brought to recover part of lot No. 2, in the subdivision of lot No. 8, in the thirteenth general allotment of the Kayaderosseras patent, being about 119 acres of land, situate in the town of Clinton, in the county of Saratoga. The cause was tried at the Saratoga circuit, in September, 1816. By the patent of Queen Anne, dated the 2d of November, 1708, a tract of land called Kayaderosseras, was granted to Nanning Hermense, Johannes Beehman, Rip Van Dam, Ann Bridges, and nine other persons. The lessors of the plaintiff derive title under Ann Bridges, who was one of the original patentees ; and their right to recover is made out, unless the title of Ann Bridges has been’ devested, by her own act, in conveying it away, or the right to • recover in thjs action has been lost by lapse of time. The vast amount of property, involved in the questions to be settled by this case, has increased their interest, and has drawn forth from the counsel, on the argument, a very able and elaborate discussion.
