The defendant town of Wethersfield 1 appeals from the trial court’s denial of its motion for a directed verdict, to set aside the verdict and for judgment notwithstanding the verdict following a jury trial resulting in a verdict in favor of the plaintiff, Frances Nikides. The defendant claims that the court erred in concluding that the jury reasonably could have found that the plaintiff was exercising due care as a reasonably prudent person at the time that she encountered the defective condition of the sidewalk on which she fell and suffered injuries.
