Mrs. Pauline Overstreet Swindell filed her petition for temporary and permanent alimony for herself and minor child, against John E. Swindell Jr., in Chatham Superior Court, on February 19, 1944. The defendant acknowledged service of the petition and process, and agreed for the case to be tried at the first term of court. The case was tried at the June term, 1944, and a verdict in favor of the plaintiff .was rendered by the jury on June 28, 1944, awarding to the plaintiff $30 per month for her support and $30 per month for the support of the named minor child of the parties.…
