This is a civil action to recover a debt alleged to be due for work and labor done, which was commenced and successfully prosecuted before a justice of the peace. The record was removed by the defendants by certiorari to the Court of Common Pleas of Luzerne County, where the judgment of the magistrate was affirmed, and from the decision of that court this appeal was taken. No brief was filed in this court on behalf of the appellee, nor was there an appearance of counsel at the argument, and hence no question was raised in this court as to the right of the defendants to…
