Donnie M. Young entered a plea of guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(A) (1988) and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c) (1988). On appeal, Young argues that the district court violated Fed.R.
