Appeal from decree of circuit court of Chesterfield county, rendered 15th August, 1882, in the chancery cause of William C. Lipscombe, complainant, against Lauriston C. Moore, defendant.

This is an appeal from a decree directing an issue to be tried at the bar of the court to ascertain what amount of money, if any, was due from the appellee, W. C. Lipscombe, to the appellant, Lauriston S. Moore, for services alleged to have been rendered the former by the latter. In directing this issue the court had merely pursued the course indicated by this court in Wynne v. Newman, 75 Va. 815, as proper in cases of this character.
