I. INTRODUCTION

Russell Bowden ("Bowden") brings this action under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 197 4, 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001 et seq. ("ERISA"), seeking this Court's review of the AETNA Life Insurance Company's ("Aetna") decision to deny Bowden benefits under the Group 1 Automotive ("Group 1") Long Term Disability Plan ("the LTD Plan"), administered and underwritten by Aetna.
