—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Feldman, J.), rendered July 28, 1995, convicting him of assault in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

We agree with the hearing court’s finding that the defendant’s arrest was supported by probable cause. Here, the attendant facts and circumstances demonstrate that when the arresting officer initially approached the defendant, he possessed reasonable suspicion to believe that the defendant had been involved in the assault upon the victim (see, People v…
