The plaintiff, David Foster, was appointed conservator of the person and estate of his mother, Bette Foster, by the Bridgeport probate court on November 9, 1995 and January 9, 1996, respectively. Upon his appointment, the plaintiff informed the defendant, attorney Stephen Ganis, that he was acting as his mother's conservator, and that Ganis should cease any actions previously undertaken on behalf of Bette Foster.
