Following a jury trial, defendant Karl Roberts was found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual assault. The trial court entered judgment on the aggravated criminal sexual assault count and sentenced defendant to an extended term of 60 years’ imrisonment. Defendant appeals, contending that the jury was not instructed that the State must prove the element of nonconsent beyond a reasonable doubt; that the State failed to establish the element of bodily harm; that the trial court improperly admitted statements…
