Appellees instituted this suit against appellants and the Texas and Pacific Railway Company, for damages in the sum of $1,000, on the ground of alleged negligent delays in the transportation of 333 cattle from Colorado City, Texas, to Kansas City, Missouri. The shipment was via the Texas and Pacific Railway to Fort Worth, Texas, where the M., K. & T. Ry. Co. of Texas received the cattle and transported them to Denison, Texas, at which latter point they were delivered to the M., K. & T. Ry. Co., which completed the shipment.
