On January 3, 2000, per diem District Family Court Judge Paul T. Murakami of the Family Court of the First Circuit (family court) issued an “Order Regarding Plaintiffs Motion for Order to Show Cause Why Defendant Should Not Be Found in Contempt of Court” (Order), which ordered Defendant-Appellee John Doe (John Doe) to pay Plaintiff-Appellant Jane Doe (Jane Doe) arrear-age for child support; arrearage for private school tuition, health care insurance premiums, and uninsured health care expenses for them children; and attorney’s fees and costs.
