OPINION OF THE COURT

Simons, J.

The dispositive issue in this appeal is whether the trial court erred in refusing to conduct a limited inquiry to determine whether six jurors participated in the deliberations on all the issues submitted to the jury. Because one juror’s responses during the poll of the jury suggested she may not have participated in all of the jury’s deliberations, we conclude that the order of the Appellate Division must be reversed, the judgment vacated, and a new trial ordered.
