BECK, Judge:
This is an appeal by Edward Thomas from a judgment of sentence entered on August 8, 1984 by the Court of Common Pleas of Lehigh County. The issue is whether the court, which resentenced defendant after his original judgment of sentence was invalidated, erred by failing to provide an adequate statement of reasons for the new judgment of sentence. We find that the court did not provide an adequate statement of reasons. Accordingly, we must va cate the new judgment of sentence and remand for resentencing.
