Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Washington County (McKeighan, J.), rendered November 23, 2010, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of promoting prison contraband in the first degree and conspiracy in the fifth degree (two counts).
In June 2010, defendant was indicted and charged with various crimes relating to the smuggling of 29 grams of marihuana— concealed in Clancy’s potato chip bags — into Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Warren County, where he was incarcerated.
