The original bill of Robbins was filed April 17, 1866, to foreclose the mortgage from Thomas J. Bunn and. wife to Lewis Bunn, on the south half of the south-east quarter and the south half of the south-west quarter of section 27, town 19 north, range 3 east. Thomas J. Bunn and wife, the-mortgagors, Clifton H. Moore, and, subsequently, David Davis, were alone made parties defendant. Mitchell, who had purchased, at the land sale, the south half of the south-east quarter, and also the south-east quarter of the south-west quarter,, was not made á party thereto.
