The motion for reargument in' this case is based on the ground that the court overlooked the change effected in section 887 of the Greater Mew York charter by the amended act of 1901 (Ch. 466). As originally enacted this section provided in terms that the deputy tax commissioners should hold their office during the pleasure of the board of taxes and assessments and be subject to removal by said board as deputies in the other city departments, a provision omitted in the amended act.
