The Board of School Directors of the Montour School District (School District) appeals from the December 14, 2010, order of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County (trial court), which ordered the School District to pay Dr. Ronald J. Mentó $182,094.97. We reverse.

In 2006, the trial court found that the School District had unlawfully suspended Dr. Mentó from his position as Superintendent on February 19, 2004, and had unlawfully terminated Dr. Mentó on November 18, 2004. The trial court ordered the School District to make Dr. Mentó whole with respect to…
