*1058In November 2003, Jeanne M. N.-L., individually and as mother and natural guardian of Alexandra L., a minor under the age of 18 years, commenced an action against the plaintiffs herein and against Reverend James Smith, alleging that Smith sexually abused and otherwise assaulted Alexandra.
