The defendant was arrested without a warrant for alleged violations of the law on May 31, 1979. On the same day he was arraigned in the Superior Court in the thirteenth geographical area on five counts: (1) attempted assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59; (2) attempted assault on a police officer in violation of § 53a-167c; (3) assault in the third degree in violation of § 53a-61; (4) interfering with a police officer in violation of § 53a-167a; and (5) reckless endangerment in violation of § 53a-63.
