In an information filed by the District Attorney of Los Angeles County defendant was accused of the crime of murder, to which charge he entered a plea of not guilty. Following a trial the jury returned a verdict finding the defendant guilty of murder in the first degree and fixed the punishment at life imprisonment. A motion for a new trial was denied, and this appeal is prosecuted by defendant from the judgment of conviction and from the order by which his motion for a new trial was denied.
