The petitioners, as trustees under a deed of trust made by George H. Hartford, now deceased, appeal from the transfer inheritance tax levied in respect of that deed of trust underP.L. 1909, ch. 228, as amended by P.L. 1914, ch. 151.

Decedent was the owner of 6985 shares, (out of a total of 7000), of the common stock of Great Atlantic Pacific Tea Co. On April 7th, 1915, he executed his last will and testament, and at the same time executed and delivered a deed of trust whereby he conveyed to trustees all of the stock aforesaid, in trust to pay the income to himself for life and after his death…
