William L. Boswell, Jr., another witness for the plaintiff, drove the car frequently and observed nothing defective about the car or its steering. He last drove the vehicle on the morning of the accident.

Present, All the Justices.

1. Evidence indicated accident was caused by mechanical failure resulting in car operated by defendant crossing into plaintiff's lane. Plaintiff did not undertake to prove negligence after mechanical failure or offer any instruction to this effect.…
