In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the plaintiff appeals from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Krausman, J.), dated November 16, 1988, as (1) denied that branch of his motion which was for summary judgment on the issue of liability against Chu & Mui Associates and Consummate Construction Company pursuant to Labor Law §§ 240 (1) and 241-a, and (2) denied that branch of his motion which was for a severance of all cross claims and third-party actions.
