HEADNOTES ARE NOT AN OFFICIAL PRODUCT OF THE COURT, THEREFORE THEY ARE NOT DISPLAYED.] The venire, which constitutes the foundation of the proceedings against the plaintiff, was authorized by the statute, was regularly issued and served, and it was the duty of the plaintiff, in obedience to its commands, to have appeared to serve as a juror, or to make a reasonable excuse for not doing so. The following is the section of the statute under which the fine was imposed upon him:
