HOBBY, Presiding Judge.

The appellee, Marie Cailloutte, brought this suit on the 30th day of June, 1884, against the San Antonio Street Railway Company, to recover damages resulting from the death of her infant child Victor, fourteen months of age, caused by being run over by one of defendant's cars, in the city of San Antonio, on May 30, 1884.

The defendant's answer consisted of a general demurrer, general denial, and a plea of contributory negligence on the part of plaintiff.
