*558The plaintiff commenced this action, inter alia, to recover damages for prima facie tort and intentional interference with prospective contractual relations. This action arises from events that occurred in 2006, when the plaintiff resigned from a position as a vice-president for sales development at the defendant Meridian Technologies, Inc. (hereinafter Meridian).
