Hart, J.,

(after stating the facts). Inasmuch as the main reliance for reversal of the judgment is that the evidence is not legally sufficient to support the verdict, it may be well, at the outset, to restate the settled principles of law which control cases of this sort. A mine owner owes to its employees in the mine the duty to use ordinary care to furnish a safe place to work and to keep the place in a safe condition. Central Coal & Coke Co. v.
