Appellant, Sherdel Davis, appeals his conviction of assault in the first degree, RSMo § 565.050, in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis, for which he was sentenced, as a prior and persistent offender, to five years’ imprisonment. We affirm.

Appellant was charged by information with assault in the first degree on August 17, 1989. It appears from the testimony adduced at trial that the victim, Larry Day, drove his motorcycle to the Amoco Service Station located at 1100 Salisbury at about 8:00 p.m. on July 15,1989.
