Appellant was convicted of murder in the first degree and the jury fixed his punishment at life imprisonment in the penitentiary. Prior to arraignment the Court determined that appellant was indigent and appointed counsel to represent him. At arraignment he interposed a plea of not guilty. After sentence was imposed, he gave notice of appeal and was furnished a free transcript. Trial counsel was appointed to represent him on this appeal.
