In an action for a divorce and ancillary relief, the defendant wife appeals, as limited by her brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Abrams, J.), dated October 28, 1986, as awarded custody of the parties’ child pendente lite to the parties jointly.

Ordered that the order is reversed, insofar as appealed from, on the law and as a matter of discretion, with costs, sole custody of the infant issue of the marriage is granted to the wife pendente lite, and the matter is remitted to the Supreme *579Court, Suffolk County, for a hearing and determination as to visitation…
