In this, interlocutory appeal, the State seeks to overturn the trial court’s pretrial order suppressing thirty-seven-statements made during recorded telephone conversations between a prison inmate and his friends and family members while the inmate’s post-conviction writ of habeas corpus attacking his capital murder conviction was pending in district court.
