To the October 25, 1976, issuance of a writ of fieri facias on behalf of plaintiff Mary Ann Primeaux to satisfy judgments against defendant William Harvey Hinds, plaintiff’s former husband, and the consequent seizure of the painting “Timber Road”, from the Evangeline Art Galleries in Lafayette, Louisiana, Richard R. Grayson filed an intervention, in which he claimed that he was the owner of the painting and prayed for injunctive relief and damages for wrongful seizure.
