On January 2, 1996, Mark A. Suwyn (“Su-wyn”) resigned as Executive Vice President of International Paper Company’s “International Paper”) forest and specialty products division. That same day he assumed new responsibilities as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (“Louisiana-Pacific”).
