Defendant-appellant Norman Tannen-baum appeals from a judgment entered in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Jacob Mish-ler, District Judge) convicting him, following a jury trial, of (1) conspiracy to (a) avoid the filing of currency transaction reports (“CTRs”) and (b) engage in a trick or scheme to conceal transfers of currency exceeding $10,000, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371 (Count One); (2) aiding and abetting the causing of a financial institution to fail to file CTRs in violation of 31 U.S.C. §§ 5313(a), 5322 and 18 U.S.C.…
