Sybil Looney filed her complaint more than two years from the date on which the appellees allegedly caused Carol Chamberlain’s medical injury but within three years of Ms. Chamberlain’s death. In the fall of 1991, when Ms. Looney’s cause of action accrued, her claim for wrongful death was subject to the three-year statute of limitations contained in the Wrongful Death Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 16-62-102(c)(Supp. 1995). Prior to the accrual of Ms. Looney’s cause of action, we had held in Brown v. St. Paul Mercury Ins.
