| ¡This matter is before us for a second time on the issue of the defendant’s habitual offender status. Previously, the defendant, Oterrel Joseph Boutte,1 appealed his conviction for monetary instrument abuse, a violation of La.R.S. 14:72.2, as well as his adjudication as a fourth felony offender. This court, in separate opinions, affirmed his conviction but vacated his adjudication as a fourth felony offender and remanded the matter to the trial court for further proceedings. State v.
