About eleven o’clock on the morning of January 1, 1919, Earl Frisch, a lad of fourteen years of age, was *537struck by an automobile driven by defendant. Neither the intravenous injection of a saline solution nor an abdominal operation was sufficient to overcome the effect of the shook produced.by the blow, and the boy died that evening at eight o ’clock.
