HAYDEN, Judge.
The district court upheld the industrial commissioner’s award of workmen’s com pensation permanent total disability benefits to Melvin L. Van Cannon (appellee). While at work, in the course of employment, Van Cannon suffered a heart attack. While undergoing open heart multiple bypass graft surgery, he suffered a stroke. He is totally disabled and has not returned to work. The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), Van Cannon’s employer, appeals.
