Plaintiff-appellant Juan Gomez (Gomez), a Texas prisoner (# 561694), on March 5, 1996, filed this pro se, in forma pauperis (IFP) action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against defendants-appellees correctional sergeants Chandler and Reece and correctional officers Pal-meiri and Roden, all employees at Gomez’s place of confinement.
