This was an action over, by the plaintiffs, on a judgment •recovered against them by one Maloney for personal injuries caused by an ob-struction maintained by the defendant in one of the streets of the plaintiff’s village. The defendant was under a contract with the plaintiffs to light the .streets of the village by electricity. A con tract to that purpose was first made in May, 1884, with the “Brush-Swan Electric Light Company of Hew England. ” Under that contract the defendants designated the places where the electric lamps should be put, one of which places was at the intersection of…
