This case involves the consolidated direct appeal from two final judgments of the Family Court. 1 The first judgment involved a December 8, 1992 dismissal (the “dismissal”), for lack of subject matter jurisdiction, of the petition of respondent-appellant, Jennifer M. Trader (“Trader”), to modify visitation pursuant to an October 3, 1991 custody order of the Circuit Court of Cecil County, Maryland (the “Maryland Order”).
