RICE, J.
This suit was brought by appel-lee against the Gulf States Telephone Company, a private corporation, hereafter called the Phone Company, and W. W. Deyerle, the owner and manager of the McGregor Electric Light Company, hereafter referred to as the Light Company, to recover damages sustained by him on the 17th of October, 1914, while in the employ of fhe former as a lineman, predicated on the alleged negligence of both of said companies.
