The, City of Thomasville (“the City”) appeals from a judgment entered in favor of its former employee Calvin Tate by the Clarke Circuit Court (“the trial court”) awarding Tate benefits he claimed under the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Act (“the Act”), § 25-5-1 et ,seq., Ala.Code 1975.
