THIS action was brought to recover the value of certain personal property to which the plaintiff claimed, title under a chattel mortgage executed to her by Phineas L. Goodwin and Angelina A. Goodwin his wife. The defendant justified the taking and conversion under a judgment and execution against said Phineas L. Goodwin. The issue was tried at the Niagara circuit in February, 1858, before Mr. Justice Grover, and the plaintiff had a verdict.
