On January 19, 1995 the defendant was charged by criminal information with the following crimes:

“No. 2834 of 1995—

Receiving stolen property;

Prohibited offensive weapons;

Resisting arrest or other law enforcement;

Firearms not to be carried without a license.

“No. 2835 of 1995—

Retaliation for past official action.”

On January 11, 1996 the defendant filed an omnibus pretrial motion and raised the following issues:(1) Motion to recuse;
