This is an action on the case instituted by appellee, as administrator of the estate of Michael B. Rowen, deceased, in the superior court of Cook county, to recover damages for the • death of said Michael B. Bowen, who was run over and killed by one of appellant’s cars. The declaration alleged that his death was caused by willful and wanton conduct on the part of servants of appellant. The plea was the general issue, and a trial resulted in a verdict of $5000 for appellee.
