OPINION

{¶ 1} Appellant, Tazzar Nelms ("appellant"), filed this appeal from a judgment by the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas whereby he was convicted of one charge of murder, one charge of felonious assault, and one charge of having a weapon while under a disability in case No. 06CR-02-1351; and one charge of carrying a concealed weapon, one charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and one charge of having a weapon while under a disability in case No. 06CR-02-1349.
