A jury found Bennie Frank Gibbs guilty of voluntary manslaughter. On appeal, Gibbs challenges the sufficiency of the evidence. Gibbs also asserts that the trial court erred in charging the jury. For reasons that follow, we affirm.

1. On appeal from a criminal conviction, we construe the evidence in the light most favorable to support the jury’s verdict.
